Lotions & Lace was started in 1982 as an in-home party & adult toy company. Those early successes led in 1983 to beginning a wholesale distribution operation that inspired individuals across the US to start their own adult sales business. Steady growth throughout the 80s led to the first Lotion & Lace retail store opening in 1990 in Montclair, California.
From the very beginning, Lotions & Lace has been a family run company, & today is in its 3rd generation of family members active in the business.
Our tongue-in-cheek motto, “More Affordable Than Divorce,” lets our customer’s know right up front that, first & foremost, we’re about helping couples stay together, & learning about their partners in new & exciting ways! We recognize that a happy & healthy sexual dynamic is paramount in a relationship & we always do our best to help our guests find ways to get closer to their partners.
